Artistic motivations behind Carolina Guillermet‘s body of art. Landscape and urban spaces interest her a lot and to an extent architecture.

In her pictorial works, which are quite abstract, there are a variety of references such as informal architecture, tropical architecture or landscape elements that are not necessarily the main focus, but rather suggest ways of understanding or feeling.

“I have several motivations for my work. Perhaps, the landscape interests me mainly, including the urban spaces and architecture. Anything that suggest ways of understanding or feeling.” -Carolina Guillermet

For her, the emotionality and the effects that color, its composition and articulation can give when observed is an essential part of her work, inspiration and artistic motivations.
